Chance® Helical Foundation Systems
The Chance® Helical Pier Foundation system reaches the competent soil located below the active zone, creating a predictable torque-to-capacity ratio. The true helix geometry of each steel bearing plate will minimize disturbance of the soil—no excavation or spoils will need to be removed during the vibration-free installation. The Helical Pier Foundation System can be installed in limited-access and low-head room areas, and is able to be installed in any weather condition!
Chance® Helical Piers have become the deep foundation system of choice for architects, builders, contractors, and geotechnical firms. They come in 1 ½” to 2 ¼” solid square shafts or in 3 ½” pope shafts with helical plates 8” to 14” in diameter. They are installed at intervals around the perimeter in the affected areas, operating independently of the structure to meet the required load-bearing capacity.
A.B. CHANCE® HELICAL PIER Foundation System is a patented stabilization method supported by 80 years of structural engineering experience. They’re the international leader in earth anchoring, with nearly 400 dealers and distributors nationwide and in Canada. Each dealer has access to engineering guidance, field supervision, accessibility, warehouses, material traceability, AWC-certified welders, technical support and complete documentation of their products and application to their dealers. Their helical piers are used worldwide to secure residential and commercial buildings, tower foundations, heavy equipment foundations and many other deep foundation applications.
